I am 16 years old and I have many interests, one being that I am a musician and I have played guitar for 3 years. Music is my passion and it is what I enjoy doing after a stressful day. I play in a band called The Carnage and we like to play live and rehearse our own songs and prepare setlists for our next live shows. I have played at Future Yard multiple times and the Anti Supermarket plus other local venues.
Another interest I have is that I love the aviation and travel industry. I like to spot planes either from my back garden or actually going to the airport to watch them take off and land. My dream is to work as a pilot because of my love for aviation. I also do flight simulation in my spare time.
Planning: I am a very good planner. This is shown through one of my roles in my band. I plan and organise all of our rehearsal sessions and plan the vast majority of our gigs. I have been told that I am creative and committed to my role and I find it easy to get along with people.
One of my other attributes is that I like to aim high. I always have a target I am trying to reach whether it's in school or with my band.
I have never been formally employed with a wage or a contract however I have taken part in volunteering and work experience.
I took part for 6 months of volunteering as a part of my Duke of Edinburgh Award which I am still working towards.
I have volunteered at a local charity, the Belvidere Centre. While I was working there I took part in activities with the other members and I also helped maintain the centre and clean up after sessions. I delivered a weekly pool league and helped to maintain participation levels.
This work experience will help me in sectors like customer service and retail because I have had opportunities to communicate with vulnerable children and to meet new people each week at the S.A.M Club. S.A.M Club stands for Sports, Arts and Music and I was involved in assisting in all areas. My artwork has been displayed in Williamson Art Gallery and Wallasey Central Library and I helped raise £390 for Wirral Hospice at SAM Clubs art auction last Summer.
I have also taken part in music quizzes and I am quite knowledgeable in music in particular Heavy Rock and music production.
I also took part in a week's worth of work experience at Tam O’Shanter farm. While I was there I helped clean up after the animals and fed them. I also acted as a groundskeeper. One job maintaining general health and safety for example clearing pathways clear of mud and at times ice.
I have recently just finished year 11 and my GCSE’s however I am still awaiting my results which I will be getting in 3 weeks time.
