I began my IT career working in Oracle Application support where I spent 11 years in total with the NHS. It was here I learnt the importance of data accuracy. Aside from the day to day support I was responsible for Fredom of Information requests where I developed strong SQL skills.
I then moved to DWP where I spent the first 3 years working as an Infrastructure Engineer in MDM using ServiceNow and VMWare Airwatch. I gained accreditation in VMWareBuild Configure and Manage and Airwatch Solution. I later moved into 2nd line Desktop Support before finally finding my calling in ITAM.
In my personal life I enjoy family time, Travel, and cooking. I recently bought a pizza oven so I'm working on the perfect dough formula! I have had a few disasters along the way!
I am an ITAM manager at DWP, responsible for the efficient management of licensed assets whilst reducing risk. I have built effective relations with Vendors/ Resellers, and have a proven record of cost savings, applying ITAM strategy across the asset lifecycle.
I have spent the last 2 years working in Asset Register improving data accurancy in the Asset table and CMDB, enriching the data with financial information from Capex to PO and Depreciation and linking assets to support contracts.
I created all the Hardware Normalization rules that are now successfully implemented and use Run Tranform scrips and some basic Java to efficiently management the Asset/CMDB data.
I created the Dashboards/ Reports in ServiceNow and define/ measure against KPIs. I am experienced using Iventory and Discovery sources (Nlyte BMC Snow) and have an advanced knowledge of Excel (up to VB)
I am Security Cleared to carry out my role.
