Darren Alves

I am a young, self-motivated individual looking to secure my first employment in manufacturing engineering. I have completed levels 4 and 5 BTEC for Higher National Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering.

I particularly excelled in the practical aspects of my qualifications, such as solving electric circuits for automation and robotics and constructing car park barrier sensors. I have programming skills in PLCs, which I gained from programming traffic lights.

I also studied A-levels abroad in mechanical engineering. From an early age, I’ve always had a keen interest in engineering, and I feel that my passion for it, combined with the skills I developed through study, would make me a great asset to my employer. With the humility to learn and collaborate within teams, I believe any problem can be solved, and anything can be achieved.

Mechanical Engineering

• From 2018 to 2019, I worked as a car mechanic for an Angolan mechanical automotive company.

• In 2020, while working as a mechanical engineer on a farm, I repaired tractors. I built a waterway covering one kilometer, using pipes and a pump generator, to transport water from a lake to a vegetable plantation.
