I am an experienced floor manager, previously working at Ideal world in Peterborough. I have continued to develop my career in broadcast, working into operations management for Talking Pictures TV and I am now seeking new opportunities.
My experience as a TV Floor Manager at Ideal Shopping Direct.
In this role, I ensured compliance with H.A.S.A.W.A. regulations during live hours, oversaw the studio floor, and managed live shows in coordination with TV operations departments. I maintained constant communication with TV staff about show requirements and collaborated with the Creative Development team for planning and demonstration preparation.
I managed guests and models during live and pre-recorded hours, ensuring risk awareness for products and props. I also promoted a professional work ethic within studio teams and provided technical assistance, including mic pack maintenance.
Additionally, I prepared and 'striked' demos for shows, assisted by the technical team and sets and props assistants for larger demonstrations.
In broadcast operations, the main duty was to develop presentation schedules, with all other jobs and responsibilities feeding into this. Here I Built and exported precise presentation schedules to the playout centre for accurate broadcast operations.
Doing so, meant I also prepared & delivered EPG Data, managing accurate Electronic Programme Guide data, ensuring comprehensive and correct scheduling information for viewers. I also had to deal with Rights Management, ensuring content rights were updated and provided reports to PRS.
In addition, I had to communicate daily with Commercial Airtime Scheduling, working with an external advertising sales teams to ensure compliance with regulations and maximised channel revenue. I had to create over 400 trailers to promote and market the channel, inserting promotional materials into broadcast schedules to effectively boost viewership for new shows and events.
Post-TX Reporting (PRS, BARB, Kantar, etc.) Here I handled post-transmission activities, including music reporting and data submissions to ratings agencies.
