I’m a UX Designer of 20+ years, working on multiple award-winning websites and apps as owner of 2 Digital Agencies which has provided me with invaluable experience and attributes: motivated, empathetic, adaptable, resilient, with leadership skills and dedicated to positive change. I’m a quick learner and a self-starter with plenty of initiative, so adapting to new environments and processes is second nature.

Founder and owner of 2 separate Digital Design Agencies over the course of 20+ years.

Responsibilities included

• Working in high-pressure, changeable environments on time-critical projects
• Managing multiple projects/accounts simultaneously while maintaining high quality
• Managing and strategising projects from conception to production
• Producing scamps, wireframes, user flows, and prototypes; as well as compiling functional specs
• Working with internal and external [global] cross-functional teams incorporating engineers, front-end developers, creatives, interaction designers, researchers + more
• Influencing, challenging and supporting other designers
• Engaging and managing stakeholders on the client-side and presenting at key points
• Pushing UI/UX best practices and articulating why within a business context
• Reconciling clients’ business requirements with user goals/expectations
• Solving design problems with relentless attention to detail: ‘surprise and delight’

Studied Computing BSc at Manchester Metropolitan University from 1999 to 2003 with a year in industry (AstraZeneca, Alderley Park). This incorporated Multimedia Computing and Human-Computer Interaction, among other modules.
