• 10 years’ experience across operational and enterprise risk management with strong understanding of the requirements across the 1st and 2nd line roles. Including creation of risk frameworks and how to effectively embed them along with effectively identifying assessing and reporting operational risks and controls across a number of departments.

• Financial Services
• An excellent understanding of regulatory requirements following 10 years’ experience of working with risk within financial services engaging with a number of regulators including FCA, PRA, ICO, EBA, CMA and ASA.

• Change Management
• Having spent 6 years leading the 1st line of defense team for a Change and Transformation department, I have developed a strong understanding of change methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile and the tools associated with these methodologies such as JIRA, MSP and Service Now.

• Analytical and evaluation skills.
• Expertise in analysing and evaluating key areas of risk exposure within new initiatives/projects, as well as analysing incidents and providing recommendations on next steps.

• Communication skills
• To be an effective risk manager communication at all levels of an organisation is key. By ensuing that language is consistent and most importantly kept simple, allows for risk management to be more effectively embedded within an organisation. Bringing the benefits of sound risk management to life is the key to buy in and one of the key success factors of effective risk management practices
