I am an experienced administrative and program coordination professional with a background in healthcare and university settings. In my current role at Queen’s University, I coordinate a busy medical residency program, manage schedules and records, support residents and faculty, and help keep complex processes organized and running smoothly.
I am dependable, compassionate, organized, and comfortable working with people from many different backgrounds. I enjoy helping others, solving problems, and creating a welcoming, respectful environment. I am especially interested in opportunities where I can use my administrative, communication, and customer-service skills while contributing to the well-being of older adults and their families.
I would bring maturity, professionalism, patience, and a strong commitment to providing thoughtful and reliable service to the Maple Lodge community.
My work experience spans the non-profit sector, St.
College, Queen’s University and Kingston Health Sciences Centre, giving me a broad background in community service, healthcare education, senior administration and supporting people from many different backgrounds.
I currently work as the Program Coordinator for the Anesthesiology Residency Program at Queen’s University and Kingston Health Sciences Centre. I coordinate the clinical education of medical residents working throughout the hospital and at community-based training sites. This includes developing and managing complex schedules for residents completing rotations in anesthesiology, surgery, intensive care and other clinical services, while working closely with physicians, hospital departments and community partners.
Previously, at St.
College, I coordinated the RN and RPN nursing programs. In that role, I supported students and faculty, helped coordinate academic and clinical requirements, managed schedules and program information, and worked within a busy healthcare education environment. This experience strengthened my understanding of nursing education, student support and the importance of clear, compassionate communication.
I also worked as a senior administrator supporting the Director of Research and Planning at St.
College. This role involved coordinating meetings and projects, preparing and managing information, supporting institutional planning activities, and handling sensitive and confidential material with professionalism and discretion.
My earlier experience in the non-profit sector further developed my compassion, adaptability and commitment to community service. Across all of my roles, I have built strong skills in organization, communication, problem-solving, confidentiality and working calmly with competing priorities.
I am dependable, patient and respectful, and I enjoy helping people feel welcomed, supported and valued. I believe my combination of healthcare, education, administrative and community experience would allow me to contribute positively to the residents, families and staff at Maple Lodge.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Psychology and Health Studies from Queen’s University. This education provided me with a strong foundation in human behaviour, health, communication and the social factors that influence individual and community well-being.
I also completed the Office Administration Diploma at St. Lawrence College, which included formal training in Microsoft Office applications and administrative systems. This training developed my proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access, as well as office procedures, records management, communication and business administration.
My educational path began with formal training in computer programming. This early foundation helped develop the structured problem-solving and systems-thinking approach that has supported my later education and professional work.
My additional education and professional development include:
I have continued to build my skills throughout my employment at Queen’s University through professional-development courses focused on creating respectful, inclusive, accessible and psychologically supportive environments. My combination of education, technology training and ongoing professional development supports my ability to work effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
