Working with adults with LD, safeguarding Lead. Supporting and advising with all aspects of health and wellbeing for students and family’s.

I have worked with care First since 2015. I have had various roles in the business but have been in my current role for 3 years. My current role is working directly with hub managers , students and familys advising and assiting with all things related to their health and well-being both in a out of service.

This includes assisting with finding and assessing for and making referrals to outside professionals And services. I am currently trained to dsl level in both children and adults and assist in a team of 4 people advising and coordinating safeguarding for over 170 students. I have written guidance and amended policy’s, put in place monitoring tools and trained staff on our in house procedures in safeguarding.

I also regularly attend Birmingham adults safeguarding board meetings at woodcock street.
