About

I am currently a student at Stewarton academy in my sixth year of education. I implement skills learned both inside and outside of the school in my day to day life which I feel would greatly benefit in a role working solo, in a team or with customers. I am able to delegate my tasks in a way that does not overwhelm me and allows sufficient time to complete each job with care and attentiveness.

I have learned how to operate in a team and communicate well to solve challenges as they arise within deadlines. I am looking to further develop my skills and qualities through the workplace. During 2024-2025 I attended a voluntary group known as PSYV - police Scotland youth volunteers.

Experience

Fish and Chip Cafe Staff - Captains

This was a fast paced work environment which I had many duties including, cleaning, making orders, refilling stock, taking phone calls and till operation. This challenging and overbearing responsibility was difficult but taught me how to manage my time, prioritize and think on my feet. However, this has improved my communication as I had to forward communication to customers and other staff within the workplace throughout my roles and keep them updated.

Paper Delivery Person - Local town

I had to wake up before 6am. This was hard but taught me commitment and responsibility.

Youth Volunteer - PSYV - Police Scotland Youth Volunteers

(2024 - 2025)

I had many obligations, often working in a group of two or alone. We each had different roles and would have to rotate at events. One moment we could be helping people and customers operate around and purchase items, other times we would be monitoring events and occasionally I took on a leadership role at these events.

During practices we would play out different scenarios and had to keep a calm and collected mind during stressful situations, this could include fire drills, ambulance calling or civilian aid. This made me more aware of peoples needs, cooperative work and also communication.
