Send a job offer directly to this candidate
I am a third-year student at the University of Stirling, studying criminology and sociology. I live in Stirling full time and am looking for a reliable and enjoyable job nearby to aid my studies. I have experience in different industries; coaching sport, office work as a receptionist, team member in a wedding venue, and more recently a promotion to a managerial role in the same venue.
Through my previous employments, I have learned a wide skill set which I feel is flexible for any future roll I adorn.
Volleyball Coach at City of Edinburgh Volleyball Club (2022-12 – 2026-02)
Having passed two coaching courses, I was a head coach for my volleyball club. While competing in the women's team, I coached a variety of ages and abilities ranging from primary school kids to competitive teenage teams. As a coach I had to pre-plan my sessions, taking time to plan the objectives of the day to help me stay focused and organised.
I was also the social media manager for both this team, and the university volleyball team. I am experienced in running professional social media accounts, having done so effectively for the past 2 years.
Operations Team Member at Dundas Castle (2022-07 – 2026-04)
I work part-time as an operations team member in the five-star wedding venue; Dundas Castle. In this role I work alongside a team of people to ensure the wedding events run smoothly and seamlessly. Our roles are expansive, some include; checking guests into their rooms, setting up ceremonies, decorating dinner settings, manual handling of furniture, and ensuring a constant quality customer service with guests and bridal party.
The constant variations of roles mean I am flexible and open minded to provide the best hep and services in any role I am required to do. As well as a daytime operations member, I have worked in the role of night manager in my first year of university. This role required much of the same skill set, but also expanded my experience to now include bar work, having served night caps to the guests
Duty Manager at Dundas Castle (2026-04 – Present)
Having been a loyal and reliable employee for three years as an operations team member, I recently received a promotion to part-time duty manager. This role can be very demanding as the upmost level of service is required in organising and executing lavish weddings in an award-winning location.
Receptionist at M&G (2025-06 – Present)
During my second year of university, I have been doing cover work as a receptionist at the financial institution M&G Stirling. This line of work really coincides with my customer service experience as we are a first point of contact for employees via Microsoft Teams, phone, email and in person. When working the front desk, I ensure a happy and welcoming environment for employees and provide assistance in their daily needs and queries.
