I am a graduate who went to the University of Lincoln, where I studied Computer Science and achieved a 2:1. I am hardworking, productive and have a dedicated work ethic. I have experience in retail and dealing with customers and also have experience of being part of an effective team, working to tight deadlines to complete tasks to a high standard.
2020–Present: Spaced Ens Editorial Services (Temp holiday work)
Here I have to check proof collates and ensure the house style has been followed correctly and consistently by the copyeditor, typesetter and proofreaders. For this I use Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Word to correct the proofs, and communicate with the managing editor to resolve any queries I have about the work
August 2018–October 2020: East of England Co-op (part-time)
During my time at the Co-op I managed the tills, communicated with the general public and colleagues and replenished stock and dealt with deliveries. Here, I worked during the global pandemic of Covid-19. From this I gained a lot of experience dealing with many different types of people, many of whom were very stressed and anxious, and large numbers of customers, which helped me greatly in working under pressure.
October 2017- August 2018: Elton House News (part-time)
I worked part-time at Elton House News working on till and dealing with deliveries. I was also part responsible for shutting the shop at the end of the day which gave me experience in ensuring jobs were done correctly and reliably
