I am a sociable, fun character who loves to be around people. I enjoy doing active, exciting things with friends and family but I also enjoy my own company. To have the ability to help people and make people laugh is the best feeling for me, especially to help animals. Working alongside animals has been the greatest goal I would like to work towards in life, along with exploring the world with great company. I am a great team member and have the ability to contribute to sharing Ideas and supporting others. I also believe I am able to work very well alone, with some straight forward directions I can thrive from using initiative when doing something I enjoy.
I have had a range of experience within the industry of customer service, animal care and hygiene (cleaning). All of these jobs have helped build my professional profile and have allowed me to gain many skills to sculpt me as a person. I have experienced some tough circumstances within customer service although I believe I have learnt a lot from them, I have also experienced some challenging times working with animals but have learnt that to have patience is key when intending to provide the best care for them. There has been times where I have been unsure that I am doing the right thing but I always make sure to ask questions and use my initiative to help me through these times of uncertainty.
At college I studied a level 3 in animal management, this course included providing great welfare and husbandry of the animals on campus. I learnt a great amount of the behaviourisms of animals and how to adapt our approach as a result of providing the best care. I also learnt about the kennel environment and what should and shouldn’t be acceptable through learning about a range of legislation. I also learnt about the biology of animals and how different they are to us. Finally I also learnt about the veterinary nursing side and the pressures of working in such a busy environment but also how rewarding working with animals can be.
