Through my editorial and agenting pursuits and my developed prioritisation skills which I can attribute to taking on several vocations and projects to manage during my studies, I believe I have rounded my career-focused attributes. Literature remains an ever-present aspect of my personality regardless of other proliferating responsibilities within my life, and I find the developing accessibility of writing fuels my interest in publishing. The mirth I find in reading is related not only to the escapism of fantasy or the relaxation attributed to feel-good fiction, but withal in its educative capabilities.
I hope to assist in producing and distributing this education in an accessible manner, utilising my strong writing, administrative and communication skills. My commitment to this field is further reinforced by my engagement with the Hampshire Writers’ Society as competition secretary, an opportunity which has familiarised me with editorial and publishing operations and allowed me to better understand the voices of authors and their concerns. I am currently working on editing and producing an anthology which will be available for purchase for society members.
