- Safety & Compliance: Conduct mandatory morning pre-opening inspections, test runs, and log daily paperwork. Enforce strict safety parameters during loading, including height restrictions, loose article management, and proper restraint security.
- Ride Operation: Safely execute start, stop, and emergency procedures for mechanical attractions in strict adherence to manufacturer and Paultons Park guidelines. Maintain continuous, high-level observation while the ride is in motion.
- Guest Service Excellence: Proactively welcome families, manage queue lines efficiently, answer guest queries, and manage crowd flow under high-volume pressures, maintaining a cheerful and patient demeanor.

Conservation and Wildlife Management Intern at Felidae Centre & Big Cat Sanctuary (2025-09 – 2025-12)
3 months intense volunteering.
- Directed and implemented critical infrastructure projects, leading the rebuild and structural reinforcement of multiple animal platforms and observation areas to enhance animal safety, welfare, and visitor viewing capabilities.
- Designed and executed daily animal enrichment tasks to promote natural behaviours and psychological well-being for diverse species, including big cats and wild animals.
- Managed daily welfare for a diverse population of animals, consistently applying strict safety protocols during feeding, cleaning, and behavioural monitoring.
- Demonstrated physical resilience and commitment by executing challenging manual labour, including the construction, maintenance, and repair of secure animal enclosures.
- Executed precise preparation of feed for carnivores, including the butchering and safe handling of large animal carcasses to ensure correct dietary intake and reduce safety risks.
- Developed strong public speaking and leadership skills by leading educational tours for visiting school groups, managing cohorts ranging from 15 to 50 individuals while delivering engaging information on conservation and ecology.
Volunteer - Day Service at Minstead Trust (2024-01 – 2024-07)
Volunteered every week in their Day Service based in the New Forest working within their animal care delivery sessions. During every session, I worked with and supported adults with Learning Disabilities with a range of support needs to engage with and care for a range of animals including donkeys, goats and geese. After 6 months of weekly volunteering, I was enabled to join their day service for an intense practical two-week work experience opportunity, to increase my knowledge and understanding of their delivery by working across their service in a range of sessions from woodwork to craft and wellbeing.
During my volunteering, I developed and improved my confidence for working with individuals with a range of neuro-diverse disabilities while building excellent professional relationships with both the staff and cliental group being supported.
Garden Centre Assistant at Choice Plants (2024-03 – 2024-07)
I worked under the supervision of the owners, Roger and Mary Savage until they closed the garden centre due to retirement.
- Great customer care – helping customers locate the plants they required, supporting customers transporting their plants to their cars and answering basic knowledge of plant requirements.
- Supported Roger with the upkeep and appearance of the nursery – maintained constant cleanliness and organisation of plants, pots and bags of garden soil.
- Supported Roger with new products being delivered, organised space needed for large deliveries and labelled products.
- Whilst Roger and Mary were busy with customers, I would use my initiative and find other jobs to complete, moving and tidying plants, water plants and keep the nursery to high standards of tidiness and organisation.
