Psychology with Developmental Disorders Graduate
Employed as a Children's and Adults Community Support Worker in Swansea
I began my professional journey as a teaching assistant in a primary school, where I developed foundational skills in education and support. I then progressed to a 1:1 role, working closely with a child with challenging behaviours and supporting their transition into a specialised school to address their social and emotional needs. I also gained international experience as a special needs camp counsellor at an American summer camp, a role I undertook twice.
Currently, I work as a Children and Adult Community Support Worker in Swansea, where I continue to expand my skills and experience in supporting individuals in diverse settings.
I began my academic journey by achieving a Level 4 Extended Diploma in Childcare and Development, which laid the foundation for my passion for supporting individuals' growth and well-being. I went on to earn a 2:1 bachelor’s degree in Psychology with Developmental Disorders, further deepening my understanding of developmental challenges. Currently, I am pursuing a master’s degree in Behavioural Analysis and Therapy to refine my skills and knowledge in this specialised field.
In addition to my formal education, I have completed several online courses in my own time, including bereavement training and Sensory Processing Levels 1, 2, and 3, demonstrating my commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
