Since taking over the Assistant Store Manager position, my skills have grown into managing staff of around 30 and working alongside 5 other managers and their development. I oversee Banking, Rotas, Man-hours, Delivery, Stock management, Orders, KPIs, Targets, Compliance, Health & safety, Staff training, Stock processes, Sales, Visual merchandising, Floor management, Customer service, Finance, Planning & implementing Sales. To name but a few.

During my 14 years at Next Newton Abbot, I have progressed into a developed supervisory role. My responsibilities include being a Team Voice Rep – where I had meetings with management and other representative about how to improve working life at Next -, a Tailoring Specialist – where I was in charge of greeting customers and fitting them in tailoring -, Head of Recruitment – which involved interviewing, assessing and inducting new members of staff – a Home Specialist – where I was in charge of advising customers on furniture and home products, including finance choices – and Head Team Coach – where I would oversee the training of current and new members of staff. Daily, I would interact with customers and ensure they have an excellent customer experience.
I completed a Developing Leader course in 2020 to assist me in my supervisory role as a Person-In-Charge, where I would be in charge of the entire store, organise and process banking and handle deliveries and customers.
