I am a future trainee solicitor looking for some temporary work, preferably in administration. I have 18 months’ experience as a paralegal, supporting senior solicitors fulfil their daily tasks in the real estate renewable energy sector.

Rover:

Dog Walker/Sitter – September 2023 – Present

• I currently enjoy walking and housesitting various dogs in my local area on a part-time basis. This flexible work allows me to spend my spare time enhancing the lives of numerous dogs’ daily lives; something I am passionate about as an animal enthusiast and long-time dog owner. I am however looking for an administrator role with slightly more consistent hours. 

Paralegal – July 2022 – December 2023

• I was a paralegal in the Future Energy real estate team at the firm. I supported the solicitors in my team with facilitating renewable energy development projects across the UK. 
• This role was extremely fast paced and necessitates excellent time management and communication skills to ensure the wider team are always aware of my capacity. I currently support two partners, a legal director, and numerous associates to complete property transactions and secure developments for our clients. 
• My favourite part of the role wasthe due diligence; I inspect land and evaluate the possible legal and commercial risks for our clients in developing a certain site and provide solutions for the same. As a result, I have significantly developed my attention to detail and problem-solving skills. 

• During my week with the firm, I sat in the Banking and Finance team where trainees, associates and partners helped me navigate loan facility agreements, companies’ articles, Companies House, and various other due diligence tasks for lending clients.

• I worked across the Student Union’s clothing and food outlets, averaging 12-16 hours a week during my study time.
