I have experience in helping with outside catering events, where I helped with event set-up, guest experience, ensuring everything ran smoothly on the day and making sure that the guests had a brilliant time for them to look back on. This has helped me have a good understanding of how much planning, teamwork, and attention to detail is required to deliver exceptional guest experience. I am comfortable working in fast-paced environments, solving problems quickly, staying calm under pressure and learning new systems is something I thrill at.
I have been working in hospitality for over 3 years, which has helped me progress from being a part time Barista/FOH member to a full time Supervisor. Working in this industry has taught me a lot about resilience and patience, as well as becoming a confident individual and supervisor.
I studied a HNC in Marketing Communications which has strengthened my ability to understand how to promote events, communicate with guests, and understand how branding and guest experience work together. During my time studying marketing I gained skills on word, excel, powerpoint, canva and buffer.
Moreover I have just completed studying a HNC in hospitality supervision and leadership. This helped me develop my knowledge in how to train a team efficiently, give appraisals and learn new ICT techniques. During my time as being supervisor I have also gained experience in a system called business suite where I am able to schedule and upload post to our social media accounts and I have access to our booking system online which I had to adapt to quickly.
I have been working at Cafe16 in Aberdour since I was 16 and I am now 20. I have worked my way up from being a barista to head barista to now supervisor. This has given me the chance to gain experience in training new members of staff, interviewing potential employees and building strong relationships with work colleagues.
