Greg Hanson

I will shortly be graduating from the Robert Gordon University with a BSc (Hons) Software Development for Business. I earned my degree while working full time for the Technology Enhanced Learning team.

I am excited to get to work and expand my new skill set further.

For the past 4 years I have been working with the Technology Enhanced Learning team at the RGU School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedic Practice.

As part of the Technology Enhanced Learning team I have worked to produce high quality learning materials for students and assist academic staff to better use technology to assist their teaching of students, or general productivity.

Since the start of the pandemic I have been responsible for training our staff and student how to best make use of online video conferencing tools, transferring paper based exams to be administered in an online format and supervising the administration of the exams to ensure a fair experience for all students.

While studying for my BSc I took modules that gave me experience with C#, Java, Python3, Javascript, HTML, CSS, SQL and PHP as well as general topics covering topics such as the development life cycle and general best practices.

My honours project created a 3D virtual environment for trainee healthcare workers to practice taking practical exams. This was created with Unity, C#, Blender and Adobe.
