Five years of work experience in multiple job roles has given me skills in customer service, conflict resolution, quick thinking, and leadership skills. I have trained Ju jitsu for coming up on 4 years and currently hold the rank of purple belt. Previously, I trained Rugby for 9 years and have practiced Thai boxing for 2 years, these experiences are an example of my skills in teamworking and thinking under pressure, they also show my mental and physical resilience as well as endurance.
Staff Member at MOLD RUGBY CLUB (2021-09 – 2022-09)
During the 21-22 rugby season I was employed by my rugby club, my roles here mainly included cleaning the fields and changing rooms after matches as well as being partially responsible for the maintenance of the AstroTurf. In addition to this I occasionally waited on events that were hosted when the club had guests in. As this was my first job it taught me a lot about workplace responsibility and about the importance of making sure even the little things that aren't thought about are done to the best of my ability.
Pot Wash / Server at GLADSTONE LIBRARY (2023-01 – 2024-09)
As my first proper job that required training, I learnt about workplace progression having started as a pot wash and finishing as a server. This was also my first proper introduction to food service and the level of thought needed to do it safely.
Server / Bartender at CROWNE PLAZA CHESTER (2023-08 – 2026-02)
I started this job whilst also working at gladstone library, this gave me lots of incredibly valuable skills - most prominently time management. I started working as a server for the hotel restaurant and also the conferences and events that we hosted. By the time I was 18 i was fully bar trained and able to start working on the bar with full knowledge of all the cocktails and draught drinks we had available.
I remained employed in this job during the time I went to university. My boss left in mid 2025 and as i was the most senior member of staff employed as a conference and events team member, I was responsible for the running of multitude of important events including the 2025 Mrs.
Isles in which the hotel hosted 600 people that i had the majority of responsibility for. As a team member, I have also been responsible for the running of multiple high-profile events with VIP guests such as famous sportspersons and political figures. During my time in this job i have completed many training modules including a high level of allergen awareness, basic first aid, conflict resolution, alcohol training, anti-terrorism and human trafficking awareness.
High-end Cocktail Bartender / Mixologist at AVEIKA (2025-09 – 2025-11)
My role in this job was a high-end cocktail bartender/mixologist. I worked long hours in this job, starting as early as 7am and finishing as late as 6 am, I worked shifts up to 17 hours and managed to complete all my tasks to a high standard no matter how far into the shift i was. This shift taught me a lot about conflict resolution in a practical sense as i had to deal with multiple intoxicated people each shift.
I unfortunately had to leave this job earlier than i expected due to knee problems that affected my ability to work hours that long constantly standing up and was at the time the doctors were uncertain if it would be permanent damage.
Retail Staff at GREGGS (2026-03 – 2026-06)
This has been my first retail facing role and so far, I have found that the majority of my skills from previous jobs have been transferable. This includes allergy training and all of my customer service skills.
Door-to-Door Sales Representative at SIMPLY SALES (2026-06 – Present)
After I left University, I started full-time employment. I was responsible for promoting and selling products and services through door-to-door sales while representing the company in a professional and approachable manner. I engaged with prospective customers, identified their needs, and delivered tailored product recommendations to maximize sales opportunities.
In addition to this I also demonstrated strong communication, persuasion, and relationship-building skills while working independently and managing daily sales routes effectively.
