IT Infrastructure Engineer with 3 years of experience, currently working as the sole engineer responsible for the full technology environment of a secondary school. My role covers everything from third-party system management and device lifecycle to network infrastructure and security. Through leading key projects including a full MIS migration and moving the school from on-premise to hybrid cloud, I gained direct hands-on experience in Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, and identity and access management.

That project work is what led me to pursue IAM as a specialism. I am now working toward the SC-300 and MD-102 certifications to move into a dedicated IAM or junior cybersecurity role.

Onsite IT Engineer - Sweethaven MSP, CST Secondary School

On-site IT engineer, managing the school's full technology infrastructure and leading projects, reporting to my MSP manager.

• Manage the school's end-to-end IT infrastructure including servers, networking and all onsite systems
• Administer third-party platforms including Paxton Net2 door access, CCTV, Cunninghams cashless tills, IDStore and other applications/systems
• Manage Google Workspace Admin Console including OU structure, app access and trust-wide policy enforcement
• Manage Smoothwall web filtering, policy configuration and network monitoring
• Led a full device refresh across the school including planning, imaging and deploying updated hardware for staff and students
• Led the school's MIS migration from SIMS to Arbor, coordinating with vendors, reconnecting APIs and third-party integrations and managing data integrity throughout
• Configured Entra Connect to sync on-premise Active Directory with Microsoft Entra ID as part of moving the school to a hybrid environment, which was my first hands-on experience with hybrid identity
• Built a custom Enterprise Application in Entra ID to configure SAML SSO for Arbor MIS, including attribute mapping and end-to-end testing. This project gave me direct experience with federation and enterprise app management and is what led me to focus on IAM
• Supported the school's Intune migration including device enrolment, compliance policy setup and Win32 app packaging
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID including user lifecycle, security group management and role assignments
• Configure and maintain Conditional Access policies including MFA enforcement and exclusion management
• Administer SSPR and monitor sign-in logs and identity risk via the Entra ID portal
