In this role, I provided high-quality, person-centred support to three young boys in a supported living setting, focusing on promoting independence, well-being, and daily life skills. My responsibilities included assisting with personal care, medication administration, meal preparation, and engaging the boys in educational and recreational activities tailored to their individual needs and interests. I also worked occasionally with adults with complex needs, adapting my approach to meet a wide range of communication styles and behavioural challenges.
This experience strengthened my ability to remain calm under pressure, work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, and maintain a safe, nurturing environment that respects the dignity and autonomy of each individual.

I have gained experience with working with individuals who need 24hour support, therefore working 12+ shifts.
