As a Graduate of a BA Honours in Drama at the University of Exeter, I have gained skills in confidence, team leadership and in managing time efficiently whilst working under pressure. I work well individually and as a team player in decision making and planning. Through utilising various skills in a recent managerial position, I have further developed team management and created successful working relationships to succeed towards a main goal.
Assistant Manager at Lounges (2024-03 – Present)
Currently Assistant Manager for Lounges, my role includes stock control, excellent customer service, team leadership, controlling and running a smooth shift with briefs and shift plans, line cleaning, rosters, health and safety compliance and stock control. I held as General Manager for 6 months whilst we were recruiting for another General Manager and I was offered the role permanently however, I did not feel ready after only being with the company for less than a year and wanted some more time to get to know the company in more depth.

I relocated back to my home town due to personal circumstances and transferred as a part time FOH Team Member at the Manor Hotel. My duties require me to be variable on most tasks such as reception and front of house.
Assistant Manager at The Cromwell Lodge Hotel, Greene King (2019-03 – 2020-09)
I relocated to Banbury in Oxfordshire as an Assistant Manager to run a 25-bed hotel with Greene King. My day to day duties required me to manage a large team of both front and back of house staff to perform their jobs to a specific standard that Greene King set across the board. My main job required me to learn brand new skills such as new computer systems, policies and practices, safe and legal policies, licencing and health and safety.
This job threw me in the deep end in regards to the amount of new information and adaptions I had to make to perform my job effectively. I gained a massive amount of experience and customer service skills from the year and half I spent there.
Duty Manager at The Octagon Theatre and Westlands Entertainment Venue (2018-05 – 2019-03)
Across both venues I was responsible for the welfare and management of the patrons, employees, volunteers and the visiting companies during their performances/meetings/social engagements. Liaising to organise running times, the selling of merchandise, specific requirements, etc whilst maintaining professionalism and helpfulness. I am responsible for banking, writing reports and being the go-to for any complaints in regard to the performances, the staff or the restaurant/cafe/bar.
I have gained experience in service on a personal level as well as knowledge in cleaning bar lines, inputting cash on Spektrix, managing reports on the till system, managing employees and making orders.
Cafe Bar Assistant at The Octagon Theatre and Westlands Entertainment Venue (2015-09 – 2019-03)
Required as a Cafe/Bar assistant which involves working in various roles including waiting tables, bar service, changing kegs, handling cash, cashing up the tills, banquet service, team leadership and bar supervising. From these various roles I have learnt different ways to approaching these and adapting in different environments to perform them to satisfaction.
Waitress at Spires Café (2013-10 – 2015-06)
Required as a Front of House assistant and café assistant it involved serving customers, waiting tables, table service and taking bookings. I gained barista skills, further till training to develop confidence in handling cash and satisfactory customer service.
