I am a fiercely ambitious and extroverted individual with a BA (Hons) degree in Fashion Photography. I have experience in executive roles, including the organisation of editorials, social media management, content creation, and journalism.
In 2022 I was commissioned by the National Portrait Gallery to create a piece of my Sassicism art using one of the paintings in their archive for LGBT+ History Month. My Sassicism project is a digital painting and photo manipulation project where I take classical paintings and give them modern pop-culture makeovers turning them into glam rock stars and drag queens. I turned a portrait of Chevalier d’Eon and created a look inspired by numerous decades of Boy George looks.
You can see more of my work here: www.instagram.com/sassicism
My Sassicism project has since been featured in the documentary “Art Is For Everyone” by the Creative Stories team.
My photography work has been studied by A-Level Photography classes up and down the country. Pupils are studying my ‘Glitch’ photography project and myself as a contemporary artist. The idea was to turn errors and 'glitches' into a work of art.
In 2015 I returned from a three-month internship in China where I worked as a social media manager and helped set up a social media platform for the Studio Gottelier fashion course at DeTao Masters Academy.
I have worked as a journalist and content creator for numerous brands and companies including; Atlas Magazine, Candid Magazine, SOYO Leeds, The Hairdressers Charity, SLB PR, Happiest, Brown & Blond, My Talking Pet, Thirsty and Sleepiest.
My work at Happiest has been shared to an audience of over 2.8 million Facebook users. The aim was to share inspiring and uplifting stories to brighten up your day.
