Social Media Assistant / Content Creator at AMRA Skincare, London and Manchester
February 2018 — May 2021
My jobs consist of being the photographer and videographer for the companies products. I always make sure that the products are shot so, that they look professional, yet unique and eye-catching to the customer. Allowing them to be used on all platforms of social media, whether that be for a presentation, the companies website, or their Instagram page.
Something that; I achieved from this job is; what it is like to work on a tight schedule. Especially when there is a seasonal event coming up, such as Valentine's day. I have had to be organised and plan a schedule, ahead of time so that photos could be approved and not left to the last minute.
Working with AMRA has allowed me to build my communication skills as I have been able to collaborate with brands such as; Aston Martin, Four Seasons, and The Victoria Albert Museum. Not only do I take the photograph and videos of products I have also helped manage the account's Instagram page, Facebook page, and the companies website.
Bachelors Degree, Manchester Film School, Manchester
September 2020 — May 2021
My final year at the Manchester Film School has been quite different from what I initially expected. But, it has been one of the best years of my life.
The academic year has allowed me to pitch my idea of an interactive horror film that would be written by me and also directed by me, to the heads of the film school.
After successfully pitching and receiving funding from the higher-up's pre-production started. I worked very closely with my Producer where I would manage HODs as well as creating briefs and helping others to execute them to achieve my vision. When it came to directing I was able to successfully direct adults but also children and achieve the right performance from them whilst maintaining the right balance of professionalism and fun on set to keep morale and spirits high when things got stressful.
Being on set has shown that I have great leadership and communication skills as I was able to effectively manage 30+ people.
Foundation Degree, Manchester Film School, Manchester
September 2018 — June 2020
I was given the extraordinary opportunity within the school to work with industry professionals. By taking part in these workshops, allowing me to figure out what my specialism might be. I got to try out many departments, such as the art department; where I picked up many practical and creative skills (Such as planning and designing).
It was then in my second year. I realised how much I wanted to do screenwriting and directing. I spent most of my second year building up the knowledge I would need for the industry by writing and editing scripts whilst also shooting short films on my iPhone whilst in lockdown to make sure I always had a creative spark.
