I am a Sports Therapist, graduating with a 1st class honours in 2021. Since graduating I have gained experience in both a clinical and a sports team setting and I am looking to continue my development. I take great care in my work and I am very passionate about providing the best service for my patients.

ONE Premium Fitness – Reigate July 2017

At ONE Premium Fitness I was able to understand the everyday routine of working within a gym environment whilst pursuing my passion for fitness. I shadowed personal trainers helping to develop my interpersonal skills and working with clients.

Solent Hockey Team October 2018 – May 2019

In my first year at University, I completed over 40 hours of pitch side first aid for the university hockey team at training and matches. This experience allowed me to improve my confidence dealing with pitch side injuries and potential trauma scenarios.

Hamble Club Football Club September 2020 – May 2021

For the 2020/2021 football season I was given the opportunity to work alongside the lead physiotherapist of the development and first team squads. During this season I was able to practice and improve my practical techniques such as handling and massage. Moreover, I developed leadership skills, leading the teams warm ups and cool downs as well as developing one to one relationships with players guiding them through rehabilitation.

My time at Hamble was during the COVID-19 pandemic therefore I am used to working in a COVID safe environment.

The Treatment Room, Sports Therapist October 2021 – present

At The Treatment Room in Guildford at Surrey Sports Park I have gained invaluable experience helping to improve me as an all-round sports therapist. I have a number of responsibilities in this role such as carrying out effective sessions which will entail a subjective assessment, diagnostic procedures, treatment and rehabilitation. I also have developed my marketing and interpersonal skills with my clients making them more likely to return as well as learning the administrative side of this role such as emails, filing and referrals.

Bsc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Therapy

I received a First Class Honours degree classification; my dissertation was on the topic of the role of the arms in running and their impact on lower limb kinematics.
