Clinical counselling (MA, MBACP) - person centred counselling
Over a year of experience as a senior crisis support worker, which included managing support staff and assisting them to do their job to the best of their ability. Managing safeguarding which included liaising with other professionals involved in tenant's care. Managing referrals to our crisis and step-down beds, assessing referrals for suitability and risk to permanent tenants.
Updating care plans and risk assessments. Prioritising tasks in a very fast-paced environment. Managing medication and contacting relevant services if necessary. Supervising staff and conducting one-on-ones alongside medication competencies.
I have volunteered at nightstop cic as a counsellor for the past 2 years, as well as SHOUT crisis text service.
Ma in clinical counselling at Chester University (MBACP). I am currently volunteering as a counsellor at Night Stop CIC.
Additionally, I hold a degree in nutrition, health and well-being (2:1) Liverpool Hope university.
