Hayley Hickson

My name is Hayley, and I have worked in the Hospitality industry for the majority of my working life. I started as a Receptionist for a taxi company in my hometown. After being in the industry for close to 4 years I have learned many skills, such as communication, teamwork, organisation and adaptability, particularly in a fast-paced environment.

My grammar and mathematics skills are also refined to an excellent standard. I am a caring and compassionate person which has helped me in difficult times at previous jobs. My two core attributes in the workplace are organisation and time management.

Cafe Assistant at Altitude Coffee Bar (2025-03 – 2026-01)

In my most recent role as Cafe Assistant, I worked alongside a small team to ensure that the cafe ran smoothly and efficiently with customer service being our main focus. Day to day, I prepared food and drinks, ensured that the cafe was clean and tidy and assisted our customers with any issues to my utmost ability.

I worked alongside around 40 team members, catering for both seated/standing performances in the auditorium and private events. This primarily includes barista work, bartending and food service. My team and I provided food and drink for up to 1,800 guests on any given night.

• Preparing & Serving beverages to guests, responsibly and in accordance with laws and regulations
• Assessing any intoxicated behaviour and bringing it to the attention of the appropriate member of staff

I worked as part of a team of 17 bartenders, as well as 4 team leaders. I reported directly to my Supervisors or the Pub Manager.
