I'm a creative and commercially aware Copywriter with 5 years of experience and 8 years in the digital marketing sector overall. I've recently finished a Level 3 course in Cyber Security and am now looking to start my new career through either an apprenticeship or a junior role. My experience as a Copywriter in the e-commerce sector has helped me gain solid analytical, writing, and problem-solving skills.

It's also helped me understand how online businesses use digital platforms and the importance of keeping them safe and secure while protecting data. Throughout my career, I've worked with CMS and CRM platforms like Mailchimp, Shopify, Pagefly, WordPress, Magento, and Hootsuite, along with all major social media platforms. I'm also experienced with using SEO platforms like Surfer and Ahrefs, as well as reviewing and refining AI-generated content to give it a more human tone.

My cyber security studies have given me a solid understanding of core security principles, including cyber threats and vulnerabilities, risk management, security frameworks, and best practices. I'm eager to continue developing my skill set in a professional environment and contribute to a team, while earning the practical experience I need to progress in this field.

SEO Copywriter at Vape Green (2024-08 – 2026-05)

• Writing product and category descriptions for the Vape Green website and their sister site, Shopvapesuk. I used Ahrefs to pull the most relevant and high-ranking keywords.
• Ensuring that all product listings include relevant internal links to related products and brands, enhancing navigation and SEO performance.
• Producing blog posts and guides using the WordPress editor and optimising the content using Surfer SEO to make sure that it performs well on search engines, while remaining engaging and informative for readers.
• Creating bottom content, landing pages, FAQs, and any other ad hoc website content. This involved crafting compelling and SEO-friendly copy that helped to build a strong brand presence on the site, while making it easier to navigate.
• Collaborating with the marketing department and helping create the weekly email newsletter. This newsletter was sent out via Mailchimp and ranged in content from new products and promotions to industry trends.

Copywriter at Vape Club (2022-04 – 2024-06)

• Writing product and category descriptions for both the main Vape Club site and their wholesale brand, Vape Base.
• Making sure all product and category listings contain hyperlinks to their respective brands, as well as related products.
• Writing blog posts, guides, and listicles to be published on the main site.
• Crafting newsletter copy for both the main site and the wholesale brand about new products and promotions. Once the copy was approved, I would send or schedule the newsletters to go out via Mailchimp.
• Writing regular social media posts for Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

• Writing approximately 600 product descriptions over a 4-month period on a freelance basis.

• Crafting product and category descriptions for both Ecigwizard and their sister brand, Vape Shop.
• Product and category descriptions would be uploaded and published on the website using Shopify.
• Creating landing pages for popular brands and categories, as well as FAQ pages, and product guides.
• Repurposing Ecigwizard content for the Vape Shop website.
• Writing and publishing weekly blog content and guides on a range of topics, implementing specific keywords for SEO purposes.

• I also managed most of the YouTube upload process. This entailed writing the scripts, recording the voiceover and sourcing all the stock footage before sending it to the video editor, and uploading the finished content myself.

• Writing articles on a freelance basis for a WordPress blog focused on sustainable construction.

Digital Operations Executive at Mediacom (2019-06 – 2019-12)

I joined Mediacom as a Digital Advertising Operations Executive for six months on a rotational scheme, aimed at providing a comprehensive understanding of the business.

• My main duty was booking digital advertising campaigns via Prisma, an industry-standard advertising campaign manager tool, primarily used for digital campaigns.
• I was responsible for the whole process, dealing directly with clients, sending purchase orders to sellers of advertising space, and scheduling regular reports.

Marketing Assistant at Revital Health Stores (2017-11 – 2019-02)

I joined Revital as a Junior Marketing Assistant on a Level 3 Apprenticeship scheme, reporting directly to the Digital Marketing manager.

• Requesting product images and nutritional information from suppliers.
• Updating social media channels (primarily Facebook and Twitter) and scheduling posts via Hootsuite.
• Reposting news articles relevant to the health industry and writing copy for the social media posts.
• Writing copy for the weekly newsletter and scheduling it via Mailchimp.
