Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Staff: - I was directly responsible for 11 members of staff within the centre. My duties include organising staff Rotas' that suit their contracted hours and offering overtime where applicable as well as being responsible for calculating payroll. Daily checks are conducted on each member of staff to ensure that their responsibilities are conducted the standard expected and in a timely manner
- New Members: - Taking the member through the appropriate paper work and ensure that all relevant paperwork is signed. Ensuring that the member understands the terms and conditions including the cancellation period. Setting up the initial payments of membership before setting up an enrolment day with the most suitable trainer to suit their individual goals.
- Revenue: - Each day it is my responsibility to balance the revenue from the previous day, ensuring that any differences are rectified at its earliest opportunity. These details are then inputted into a database that is forwarded to the Head Office for their approval.
- Health & Safety: - It is the responsibility of the Duty Manager to conduct the daily Health & Safety checks. These duties are conducted regularly throughout the day ensuring the safety of both members and staff alike. Monitoring equipment for faults, fire alarms and panic alarms are an example of some the frequent checks I conduct.
- Opening/closing of building: - It is my role to be when on duty to open/close the leisure centre. For this I follow a strict regime to ensure the safety of the building and attending members.
- Stock take/Ordering: - All stock that is required by the centre comes under my responsibility. There are set times during the month for these checks but I take it upon myself to do these more frequently to ensure our loyal customers satisfaction.
- Complaints: - I deal with both customer and staff complaints. I ensure that in most cases these complaints can be rectified immediately, ensuring that I remain empathetic with the issue's raised.
