I’m a driven IT professional with over a decade of experience across manufacturing, charities, education, events and international consultancy environments. Strong track record of improving infrastructure, modernising systems and supporting people through change, with a blend of hands-on technical delivery and strategic planning, with responsibility across service, projects and day-to-day operations. I’m comfortable working with both stakeholders, directors and senior management as well as frontline users, with experience spanning primarily Microsoft infrastructure, Office 365, Azure/Entra, networking, virtualisation, backups, end-user support and supplier coordination.
I’ve helped companies get to, or maintain ISO, Cyber essentials and GDPR standards. This is done by improving processes and helping by communicating with end users and departments managers.
IT Infrastructure Engineer at Kanes Foods Ltd (2023-09 – 2025-12)
Worked in a large-scale food manufacturing environment supporting around 1,000 staff within a lean two-person IT team, reporting into the Finance Director with support from a part-time interim IT Director. The role combined infrastructure delivery, project ownership, supplier coordination and day-to-day support in a fast-moving operational environment where reliability and clear planning were critical Led or co-led major improvement projects including a completed migration from on-premise Active Directory, file servers and virtual machines into Azure and Entra, SharePoint migration, mobile device rollout through Intune, clocking system deployment, and oversight of CCTV integration. Played a major role in the replacement of 110 wireless access points, 24 switches and 10 new fibre runs, managing contractor selection, supplier meetings, timelines and implementation alongside hands-on delivery with the wider team.
During my planning process I would create roadmaps for 1 – 5 years infrastructure plan as well as getting local team leads and directors input on the requirements of the projects. Also created DOPs, SOPs, user FAQs and a Snipe-IT asset management platform, helping bring more structure to the function while supporting wider business change, including improvements linked to reporting systems and operational databases. These changes helped reduce helpdesk demand from several hundred tickets to around 10–20 tickets per day while improving resilience and supporting business growth.

IT Co-ordinator at Cube International (2022-03 – 2023-05)
Joined a fast-growing business with minimal internal IT structure and helped build a more mature, reliable and secure environment across Worcester, Manchester and remote staff. Took ownership of internal networking, user lifecycle processes, acceptable use controls, documentation and core infrastructure, creating a more stable platform for growth and day-to-day operations.
Office 365 migration from a basic POP/SMTP environment, device enrolment through Intune, Azure AD-based services, MFA, SSO and a finance Sage server accessed securely via on-site VPN. Also created the company’s main asset management approach while larger-scale systems were being assessed, and contributed to DOPs, SOPs and processes covering starters, leavers and appropriate use of equipment. Developed the network and service environment to Cyber Essentials-aligned standards, working with external suppliers to certify the environment and improve overall security posture.
Supported high-profile event operations including the Commonwealth Games megastore and smaller Birmingham sites, where I was responsible for resilient internet provision supporting £50K–£100K per day in revenue, and assisted the BBC with network issues and primary internet connectivity for live broadcast operations.
ICT Technician at Helen and Douglas House (2021-02 – 2022-03)
Provided technical support across a children’s hospice and a large charity shop estate covering locations from Cirencester to Windsor, supporting a broad user base across care, clinical, retail and office functions. The role required a high level of empathy and adaptability, balancing BAU support with project work and technical improvements in an environment where reliability and sensitivity were equally important. Played a key role in the migration of charity shop connectivity from copper to fibre, coordinating with BT and other providers to minimise downtime and improve resilience, including the installation of redundant 4G connectivity at sites where required.
Supported redesign and implementation work on the network between buildings, including rack work, patching, switching and infrastructure changes to move from a basic setup to a more resilient network design. Also supported Windows infrastructure, Hyper-V, RDWeb/VDI, Sophos networking and specialist end-user systems, while creating documentation for users and families staying in the hospice. Developed strong troubleshooting capability in areas such as permissions, automation and Paxton door systems, often identifying and resolving issues independently across both user-facing and infrastructure problems.
IT Co-ordinator at Proforest Ltd (2018-06 – 2019-12)
Acted as the sole internal IT lead across five offices in Oxford, Brazil, Colombia, Ghana and Malaysia, supporting around 100–150 users across remote and office-based environments. Reported to the Operations Manager and combined day-to-day support, infrastructure administration, purchasing, budgeting, vendor coordination and project delivery within a small but internationally distributed organisation. Managed service support through Zendesk and remote support tools, while also building local capability by training power users across all five offices.
Created internal policies and acceptable use documentation, coordinated multilingual training and support, and worked with local staff and external suppliers to deliver solutions across different time zones and regions. Delivered a number of complex technical and operational projects, including remote server and network rollouts, VPN and Active Directory replication, and a reverse migration from cloud-based Office 365 / Intune-led user management back into local on-premise domain environments for regional offices that required local login and improved resilience. Also helped provide remote access to high-power applications such as CAD and Photoshop with GPU acceleration, supporting GIS and other specialist workloads in challenging locations.
System Support at European Electronique (EE) (2017-07 – 2018-06)
Built a strong technical foundation in a support role serving schools, charities and larger customer environments. Managed ticket triage, first-line support, escalation and direct resolution where appropriate, while developing strong customer relationships and learning from senior technical and management staff. Worked with VMware vSphere, vCenter, Windows environments, Hyper-V, HPE Aruba wireless and Cisco ASA administration through both web interface and CLI.
Gained early experience of secure environments where careful handling of sensitive data was important, including NHS-related information.
IT Support Engineer at Bluespires IT Support (2016-02 – 2017-02)
Started career in an MSP environment supporting more than 50 clients across helpdesk, backups, email systems, domains and general technical support. Developed strong foundations in troubleshooting, escalation, customer communication and ownership of issues through to resolution, while proactively learning from senior engineers and building technical knowledge outside of work.
