I am hardworking student who can get on well with people and can work well on my own or in a team. I am reliable and have a good attendance record at Sixth form as well as University. I am willing to take on training and keep learning. I am now seeking a new opportunity.
Developing my skills and my understanding through my current Media course during my time at sixth form and first year at university, it has given me a strong desire to pursue this as a career. I realised that the media industry is what I would love to do for the rest of my life. I am certain that it is a profession that I would enjoy doing immeasurably and would love to go further in as I will gain a lot more knowledge, understanding and skills to add to what I have gained already and always learn on my journey in my career in this industry.
This is why after being at University, I felt as if having apprenticeship would expand and develop my current understanding of the media industry and media production even more by working in it. From a young age I have always had the desire to create and edit videos, I have created a great number of these as I find doing this entertaining and I like being creative in my spare time. I find it extremely rewarding as initially a hobby and now something I want to develop into a career that I can excel in.
Ultimately, I feel this will help take my media career to the next level.
I have had experiences to film and edit short films and a documentary which were projects we had to do with specific job roles like lighting, sound and camera operator which were performed by members of my class. I have also produced music videos, this experience was very different as I had to manage multiple responsibilities that would normally be handled by someone dedicated to the role. I also took the responsibility of post-production, despite how difficult the project could be at times, it was immensely rewarding editing the final video together to make it as close to industry standard as possible by following the conventions of other music videos of the same genre.
In addition to this, I have also learnt how to use a wide range of adobe software for post-production such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects. I have learnt how to use professional sound equipment to make my edits have high-quality sound and sound effects added in post-production and to a professional standard. It took me a long time to understand and learn these programmes however, during my course at sixth form I can now say that I am comfortable using the various software and operating them at a high standard to develop the best videos possible.
