I have been in continuous employment since the age of 14, starting with a paper round where I quickly became known for my reliability and punctuality. I then joined Cullercoats Bike and Kayak (CBK) Adventures, developing strong teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
Today, I am a highly motivated and newly qualified Medical Engineering Technician with four years of hands-on experience supporting NHS healthcare services. I’ve recently completed my Level 4 HNC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering with Distinction and successfully passed my Science Industry Maintenance Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard (ST0249) end-point assessment with SIAS.
Throughout my apprenticeship, I have built a strong foundation in fault diagnosis, calibration, and preventive maintenance of complex medical equipment. I am experienced in working to stringent regulatory standards, conducting electrical safety testing, and maintaining compliance within clinical environments. I work effectively both independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams, and I bring a deep understanding of electronics principles and NHS healthcare protocols.
Now fully qualified, I am ready to take the next step in my career, bringing my technical expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to patient safety to a dynamic medical engineering team where I can continue to grow and make a meaningful impact.
