Jane Welsh

I have worked in homelessness for over 20 years in a variety of settings. Previous to these years I worked in both learning disabilities and mental health.

I am mature, sensible and don't panic when dealing with challenging behaviour or people in crisis.

I worked in mental health and learning disabilities then moved into homelessness. I first worked as a floating support for older people moving from hostels to their own sheltered accommodation. I ensured that the tenancies were maintained and utilities were paid.

I then moved jobs within the charity to manage a 6 bed controlled drinking project. I stayed there until I was made redundant in August 2021.

Since then I have fulfilled various roles on homelessness and mental health.

I have fulfilled all the relevant training to work within the NHS as a support worker.

I am educated to degree level
