Supervisor/Turner setter operator - Jota advanced engineering - Hastings

Currently work on haas cnc lathe machines using hypermill cad system. PSL data track is used to log on and off jobs. Turn anything from 5mm to 500mm. Jota is also a race team that races in WEC (World Endurance Championship) and 24hr Le Mans.
Process driven facility making small and large batches. Set and operate first articles jobs that go to inspection for F.A.I.R. Working with 5s in this state of the art factory using all kinds of measuring equipment.
Working with TPMS and BBS. Work to a very fast pace as motorsport components must be made on time.
Cell leader/Turner setter operator - TE connectivity - Hastings

Worked on Nakamuras WT150s and WT100s and also NTYs using Fanuc controls with twin spindle and turrets and 3 turrets twin spindle. Turned high precision parts making connectors for the aerospace, military and autosport industry using various measuring equipment. Used plug gauges, bore mics, height gauges, CMM, vernier micrometer, OGP.
Currently worked double day shifts with 5s. Followed run to list of jobs needed and completed them on time. Ran small to large batches. Cell leader in WT100s and WT150s cells, responsible for cell organization and guiding colleagues.
Worked with TPMS and BBS and conducted 5s audits.
Turner setter operator - Amphenol LTD - Whitstable

Worked on Nakamuras WT150s using Fanuc controls with twin spindle and turrets using pre-set tooling. Programmes written in macro using variables. Turned high precision parts making connectors for the aerospace and military industry using various measuring equipment. Used plug gauges, height gauges, CMM, vernier, micrometer, micro vu. Worked double day shifts with 5s. Followed run to list of jobs needed and completed them on time. Ran small to large batches of work.

Worked on a Samsung PL25LM using Fanuc controls with manual I-guide. Turned high precision parts making shafts and rotors working with tolerances of +/-.01 on low batch work. Used various measuring equipment including bore micrometer, vernier, micrometer, height gauges, thread gauges, depth gauge.
Ensured work was complete on time. Worked double day shift alternating between days and nights. Conducted risk assessments and followed health and safety regulations as safety was key. Followed run to list of jobs needed after each job and completed them on time.

Worked on various machines setting and operating using Fanuc controls. Skilled setter operator who also performed a small amount of programming. Worked late shifts and became supervisor on the shift, supervising colleagues on the automatic saw and training colleagues on machinery.
Conducted risk assessments as health and safety was key and helped set machines to make parts required. Kitted jobs that needed to be machined. When supervisor returned after a year, became charge hand, providing skills and knowledge while being a team player.
Ran machines when others were being set and helped set machines to prevent downtime. Followed run to list of jobs needed after each job and completed them on time. Passed refresher first aid training.

Worked on various machines in the workplace including CNC machines and grinding machines. Made high quality aerospace components, working with 5s and health and safety, providing ideas for making the place safer and being rewarded. Used all gauges, laser mics and measuring equipment, setting and operating CNCs. Made up collets and jigs. Worked shift work mornings and nights. Left due to personal circumstances and relocation back to Hastings.

Progressed onto operating computerised numerical controlled (CNC) machines. Worked in other ancillary areas including Helium leak test of products and component polishing. Unfortunately made redundant on 13/2/2009 due to the current economic climate.
