Senior Care Assistant

I am currently working as a senior care assistant at a local care home which while I find this a satisfying occupation I feel that I need to move on to something more challenging. I am a team player who enjoys working with colleagues, however, when required I am able to work on my own without direct supervision. I am able to use my own initiative and enjoy problem solving.
I currently work to a shift pattern that includes early and late shifts and would be able to carry on doing so should a new role require this. When performing a given task, I like to complete what I start, and to the best of my ability. I acquire new knowledge and skills easily and I am not afraid to approach tasks that are unfamiliar to me.
Having said this, should I find a task difficult I am not afraid to ask for help from a senior member of staff. I feel that I have an instinctive appreciation of Equalities and Diversity. I understand the principles of equal opportunities for all and know that all persons no matter what Ethnic background, Religious Faith, Sexual Orientation, Gender, Physical or Mental Ability, deserve to be treated with equal dignity and respect and understand that some will require more assistance to achieve this equal level than others.
This is a principle that I believe in on a personal and professional level. I do not at present hold a full driving license however I am intending to learn in the near future. I have no criminal convictions past present or pending and finally, and to summarise, I believe myself to be an honest and hardworking individual with a straightforward work ethic, who is trustworthy and someone that colleagues can rely on.
