I am a hard working OT , dedicated to providing care and advice to maximise best outcomes for every person I work with, their carers and families, to ensure they can function at levels applicable to their individual needs every day to achieve the best lives possible.
I have worked briefly in RACE in nhs at the start of my career, then choosing a community adult social care (ASC) career pathway.
Whilst in ASC I have worked as an OT for several years working with a vast range of people with varying presentations and needs from age 18 upwards. I gained skills in moving and handling, AMPS ( not currently accredited), safeguarding, MCA and equipment provision (major/ minor home adaptations).
Since 2017 I progressed to being OT lead practitioner in the ASC Poole Helpdesk. This role changed during the council transformation to BCP council. I have been BCP team manager of the outreach (community side) of the ASC contact centre since just before covid. Recruiting our numbers and leading the team through covid. The team covers the entire BCP area and is the front door in to ASC. The aim is to prevent and reduce/ delay the need for long term services and hospital admissions.
The team consists of both professionally qualified and unqualified workers ( 18 currently) covering OT/ OTA and care management roles. offering proportionate assessment, advice/ signposting/ commisioned suppprt/ 3rd sector support to piece together tailored solutions for each individual. AS manager I lead and influence the team’s processes and provide timely clinical Supervision, daily support, as well as usual manager roles ( eg leave/ rotas/ training sign off/ career progression etc) .
I am looking for a new challenge to test both my existing skills and expand my knowledge as I love to learn and embrace change, through continued networking to improve lives and create better joined up working across NHS services and SC.
Private sector many times including account manager for BT and specialist area customer service for JPMorgan.
I retrained to OT following redundancy.

then OT in ASC Poole council moving to lead practitioner OT . Then team manager for BCP council contact centre( front door). Working in a fast paced ever changing and evolving environment.
