During years at school, used spare time to help those in the community learn netball. The Rhondda is a deprived area where there are not many opportunities for young people. Every Wednesday coached children between 10-13 in netball. Ran own sessions and ensured each session was fun for the children. Built a young team of girls whose confidence grew through the sessions, winning every competition and becoming the best team in the league.
