Hi,I’m Lyn.after graduated,I’ve been teaching Chinese almost 3 years now. Before coming to London to be a lecturer at uni, I’ve been to Thailand and Singapore to teach Chinese.I’ve been teaching different ages students so I know how to let students really enjoy my class and totally not boring. Plus, as a proctor of Chinese proficiency test,I’m familiar with HSK & YCT test very well. But the most important point is I can get along well with students, let them have fun in my class, and also can really learn something from my class.
Prior to my current role as a lecturer at the London Southbank University , I had the privilege of imparting my knowledge in both Thailand and Singapore. Throughout my teaching journey, I have had the opportunity to instruct students of various age groups, enabling me to develop a keen understanding of their preferences and needs in the classroom. I firmly believe in creating an engaging and enjoyable learning environment, where students are actively involved and never find the experience dull or tedious.
In addition to my teaching experience, I have also served as a proctor for the Chinese proficiency tests, specifically the HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi) and YCT (Youth Chinese Test). This responsibility has not only deepened my familiarity with these assessments but has also enhanced my understanding of the examination process and the expectations of students preparing for them.
However, what truly sets me apart is my ability to establish strong rapport with my students. I strive to foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where students not only have fun during our classes but also gain valuable knowledge and skills. I firmly believe that a supportive and enjoyable learning environment yields the best results, and I take pride in creating such an atmosphere for my students.
With my extensive teaching experience, expertise in Chinese proficiency tests, and commitment to creating engaging and meaningful learning experiences, I am confident in my ability to contribute positively to any educational setting.
I hold a degree in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language, which I obtained from Dalian University in China in 2019. Additionally, I have acquired certifications such as the TCSOL (Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages) and a Certificate of Mandarin Secondary - Level A, both earned during my time at Dalian University. Furthermore, I have been honored with a Certificate of Excellent Chinese Teacher from a reputable teaching institution in Thailand. These educational accomplishments have equipped me with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively teach Chinese language and ensure an exceptional learning experience for my students.
