Jim Burrows

Hello. My name is Jim and I live in Roundswell, Barnstaple with my wife and children.

I have been in shop sales management for the last 25 years. Included in this time I also ran my own electrical retail business serving the general public and B2B. I had been looking after the trade sales side of the business for my previous employer, increasing sales and gaining new customers in recent years. I had increased margin and profitability within this role. My current position is a store manager with Dream in Barnstaple. I have been with Dreams for 18 months and I thoroughly enjoy it. However I am ambitious and see this position as a step up and a career progression.

I have a real passion and drive to meet and exceed targets set. I enjoy working with people and making sure that their every need is catered for.

I have managed, trained and developed staff in many areas including product knowledge, store finance, health and safety, store kpi’s and how to treat and respect themselves and customers. I always lead from the front, showing dedication and a great work ethic towards maintaining exceptional store standards and results.

I believe that I could adapt my retail management experience from electricals and beds / bedroom furniture for this position..

I am honest, reliable, friendly, hard working and presentable.
