Having spent eleven years in the merchant navy as an engineering officer, managing large teams of engineers and mechanics, I have decided to come shoreside and apply my skills and experience. Highly qualified Marine engineer officer and manager with extensive experience in watchkeeping, project management, leadership, management, and teamwork. Accustomed to medium speed engines, including diesel electric propulsion arrangement with variable frequency drive, and more traditional setups with separate propulsion and auxiliary generators, as well as the associated power distribution. Competent with HVAC systems, particularly multi-room refrigeration, brine chillers, air handling units and associated systems.
I have comprehensive knowledge and training in leadership within working teams as well as the ability to organise the completion of both planned and unplanned maintenance, project management and inter-departmental relationships.
