I retired from the Police after 30 years 4 years ago. I worked as a child protection detective, schools officer and vulnerability and CSE officer. I worked as a Criminal Exploitation Practitioner with The Children's Society and a DDSL in a London Secondary School and a DSL in an Ipswich Primary School.
Essex Police 1988-2019 - police officer - various roles- retired after 30 years including uniform patrol, detective and vulnerability officer.
DDSL 2019-2020 - Secondary School Enfield responsible all child protection and safeguarding issues in the school
Investigative Support Officer (Essex Police) CAIT (Child Abuse Investigation Team) 2020-2021taking statements and assisting with child abuse investigations and attending child protection conferences as a police representative.
Criminal Exploitation Practitioner The Children's Society 2021 ( 6 months) then moved to Suffolk. Working with young people being or at risk of all forms of exploitation 1:1 and in groups.
DSL/Pupil Welfare Lead - Ranelagh Primary 2021-2022 - responsible for a team of 4 alternative safeguarding leads dealing with all child protection and safeguarding issues in the school
Specialist Provision Officer Suffolk County Council - 2022-2023 - quality assuring and commissioning specialist units, schools, PRUs and commissioning contracts for young people placed there from Suffolk with SEND needs.
