As a recent graduate in Law, achieving an Upper Second Class Honours, I have amassed a plethora of skills. Gaining important experience in organisational management, teamwork, and both written and verbal communication.
I am a creative individual with a strong interest in social media marketing and the charity sector, with a proven ability to manage social networks and garner positive change. Additional strengths lie in promoting events, identifying trends and effectively conducting market research. I am now eager to explore opportunities that can help me further develop these skills and discover potential career pathways.
As a recent Law graduate from the University of Birmingham, I have amassed several relevant skills and experiences that have been vital to my growth. For example, through my degree, I was able to hone my communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as my resilience and problem-solving skills. I am eager to transfer these skills to professional and challenging environments.
I developed these skills further through my position as the
Social Media Secretary at the University Craft Society. I was required to facilitate weekly craft sessions with three other committee members doing a different craft every week. Specifically, I managed all social media accounts, promoted events and communicated with other members and societies.
Here, I had the opportunity to test and showcase my creativity and skill in crafting posts and devising strategies to engage our members. During my time managing the social media accounts, the society's follower count increased by over 30%, and we saw a significant boost in engagement. This can be attributed to our constant monitoring of analytics and refining our posts according to engagement.
Thus, I was responsible for juggling a variety of tasks, in turn, this role aided in honing my ability to multitask as well as adapt. Moreover, I learnt a lot about the importance of working collaboratively in a team and its crucial role in succeeding, such it is something I value in the workplace.
On top of this, I've had various administrative roles and work experiences, which have enabled me to familiarise myself with key administrative programmes and sharpened my general organisational skills. All in all, my ability to adapt, combined with my natural resilience and interpersonal expertise,
gives me confidence in contributing to a fulfilling and successful work environment.
