I have expertise carrying out physical, chemical, microbiological and instrumental analysis in the laboratory, as well as whilst working as a Laboratory Technician, I have gained broad experience in monitoring resources, placing orders, and liaising with colleagues, academic staff and external clients to build relationships and ensure the efficient running of the laboratory and projects.
During my previous positions in Quality Assurance, I have gained exceptional attention to detail from analysing data to check for errors and inaccuracies, and from checking raw materials and finished products against quality specifications.
I graduated from the University of Antioquia, Colombia with a Bachelor’s honours degree in Food Engineering, in which I gained experience carrying out sensory, microbiology, chemistry and instrumental analysis of food samples, as well as an understanding of different food processing and unit operations. Due to my academic excellence, I was awarded a Scholarship to study abroad for a semester at The National Autonomous University, Mexico. This experience enabled me to gain valuable experience in food processing, whilst also gaining new skills in food analytical techniques.
