Recovery Worker/Advanced Recovery Practitioner - Turning Point

During my time at Turning Point as a substance misuse worker from June 2022 to November 2024; my main responsibilities and duties were to manage a caseload of over 50 clients, complete smart goal orientated recovery plans, liaising with other professionals and services within the community, completing MDT's where necessary, ensuring clients are safe and their needs are being met, following company policy and procedures and working as part of a team. I also support clients to achieve abstinence/ controlled usage of substances by following a treatment pathway. I had the opportunity to run a satellite clinic within Medway Magistrates Court; whilst here my role was to assess service users' needs and advise the courts on ATR/DRR's that would be best suited for the individual.

I was promoted to an ARP in November 2024 and my role consists of offering specialist advice to partnership agencies, members of the wider service and mentoring/coaching junior staff, volunteers and students to maintain high standards of practice. Office Assistant/Healthcare Assistant - Shalom Healthcare

This was an admin job for a healthcare agency where I would receive mail and phone calls. My role was to speak to different care homes and provide carers for their homes when they were short of staff. I also had to organise training for all the carers.

This included doing a lot of paperwork, engaging and relating with care homes to get more clients for the agency. Part time I worked for the same company as healthcare assistant. My role was under the supervision and direction of qualified nursing staff, healthcare assistants carry out a wide range of duties to care for, support, and provide information to patients and their families.

Keyworker - Creating Lifestyles

This was a job where my role was to look after youth offenders. I worked as a support worker. When the young offenders are released from prison our job was to help them get their life back on track and to help them adapt to a normal life. We help them get jobs, teach them how to cook and help them with their communication skills. Our main objective was to support them until they turn 18 and help them achieve their goals.

Volunteer - East London Foundation NHS Trust

I shadowed a district nurse on a few home visits to patients, mainly elderly patients, children and nursing homes. Each day I would return to the office for administrative work including forward planning of appointments.
