In 2021 I completed a Level 3 Diploma in Editing and Proofreading and currently studying part-time for a BA Hons in English Literative and Language with the Open University. I have always been very careful with spelling and grammar in my work and have always been interested in different aspects of the English Language. Also, I’m the person that my friends used to ask to look over their work whether that was scripts, novels or dissertations.
I have worked as an Editor and Proofreader for a non-fiction book about the rises and falls of business through the years where my main responsibility was to check the spelling, grammar and punctuation that was used as well as fact checking, correcting inconsistencies, and improving the structure. Separately I was an Editor and Proofreader for a series of western-romance novels where my main responsibilities were the like my previous posting.
I also worked as a content writer for a marketing company where I wrote blogs and articles for their clients. This was also a freelance position, so I got to choose what days I work and how many pieces of writing I did each day/week. This was convenient because it meant I got to work around other commitments.
As well as being well-versed in the world of words which means any content I create will be written well, I have also loved creating content as well. I studied Media Studies at A-Level and also alongside all of this I am working actress, so I have to film and edit my own tapes as well. Also, I am from the generation where I was a teenager when social media really exploded worldwide such as Facebook and Instagram, so I definitely know my way around those platforms.
I also have two TikTok accounts where I am uploading videos that I have created and edited and regularly, so I am very up to date with the latest trends.
I have got a Level 3 Diploma in Editing and Proofreading from Open Study College and I am currently working towards a BA Hons in English Language and Literature with the Open University.
