I am a highly motivated, friendly person that is easily approachable and always enthusiastic. I work well as part of a team or just as effectively independently. I enjoy attempting to solve difficult problems by piecing together information and finding the best resolution for any situation.

I am very hard working and reliable, so I can be trusted to fulfil tasks which are set for me in an efficient manner. I work well under pressure as it helps me focus and take control. My main goal is to help any customer to the best of my ability until they are completely satisfied, and their questions have been adequately answered.

I am looking to further my career by learning new skills whilst improving on my existing ones in a new role.

Floor layer - Self-employed - Various sites

(2017-07)

• Examining subfloors and deciding on the best course of action such as damp proofing, repairing holes and cracks, and laying screed to prepare for the covering.
• Laying various floor coverings such as sheet vinyl, carpet tiles and vinyl tiles accurately, maintaining a high standard. This also requires a tremendous amount of hard work due to its physicality.
• Following health and safety procedures such as dust containment, ensuring work areas are clear of debris, manual handling practices, and correct handling of equipment such as knives, machinery, and power tools.
• Ensuring correct layout of floor coverings using precise mathematical calculations.
• Maintaining consistent communication in person and through email with other trades and site management colleagues, providing updates on progress to ensure schedules are met.
• Helping to train new colleagues by showing them the correct techniques, appropriate storage of materials and providing general work advice.
• Conversing with the client and answering queries about changes to plans, and materials and relaying the information to the office.

Various labouring jobs - Various - Sheffield

Completing a varied amount of labouring activities within the building trade, ranging from general site housekeeping to furniture assembly.

• Working as a team whilst following strict health and safety standards to ensure all trades on site could operate efficiently.
• Following instruction from site management in order to complete tasks, and assisting whoever needed help on the job I was assigned to.

Croupier - Napoleons Casino - Hillsborough, Sheffield

(2014-01 - 2015-03)

• Seeing out the fair play of popular casino games such as roulette and blackjack.
• Making quick calculations to ensure customers were receiving the correct pay outs upon winning, whilst also meeting targets for the number of games played in a certain time frame.
• Working under pressure – there were often large sums of money at stake, and I had to make sure I was still fulfilling the role accurately in front of large crowds.
• Exceptional communication skills – the environment could often be highly emotionally charged due to large amounts of money being played and alcohol having been consumed by the customers. I had to make sure the customers were aware of the rules, what was happening during game play, and keep calm should any customers become agitated.
• Flexibility was vital as the casino operating hours varied, and I had to work shifts starting anytime between 7am and 11pm, with extra hours being worked if the casino was busy upon my scheduled finishing time.
