Lakna Samarakoon

Hi,

My name is Lakna Samarakoon.  I am am Early Years Educator, and I have seven years of experience working in nurseries. I love working with babies and young children because they are the ones that makes a job worth going to. I am a good and professional individual who gives her 100% best at what she does in the nursery.

I loves indoors and outdoors especially nature. I enjoy doing online training in my spare time. My hobbies include shopping, cooking international foods, listening to music and reading books.

I have seven years of experience working with babies and young children from birth to 5 years. I have also done online training via noodle now and I also got first aid and DBS on tracking service. I have also worked closely with SENCO in my workplace to help children help achieve their goals, and especially with babies.

I am also familiar with the early years foundation stage, the seven areas of learning, and so when I do my paperwork via the tablet I use the early years foundation stage to record childrens development their progress and observations. I also do parent meetings every four months in my workplace. I also get involved with the nursery events such as multicultural day.

I have Foundation Degree in the Early Years from the University of East London.
