A caring pharmacist

I believe what makes me different as a pharmacist is the way I treat my patients. No matter how busy the pharmacy is, I always make time to listen, support, and reassure people properly. Patients often come back asking to speak with me because they know I will listen to their concerns, explain things clearly, and make them feel comfortable and cared for.
I understand that sometimes patients need more than just advice about medication, and I always try to support them in a compassionate and understanding way so they feel heard and confident about their treatment. I am a passionate and motivated GPhC-registered pharmacist who genuinely enjoys helping people and learning more every day. Working as a locum pharmacist across different community pharmacy settings has helped me become confident managing high prescription volumes, clinically screening prescriptions, making interventions, identifying prescribing issues, and working closely with GP surgeries and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive safe and effective care.
I am a quick learner, adapt easily to new environments and teams, and work well under pressure while remaining calm, approachable, and supportive to both patients and colleagues. I always try to contribute positively within the team by supporting staff whenever needed and sharing my input or ideas if I feel it could improve patient care, workflow, or safety. I understand the importance of teamwork within healthcare and always aim to create a supportive and positive working environment where everyone feels respected and able to work together effectively.
Through both my community pharmacy experience and my clinical pharmacy shadowing, I realised how much I enjoy the clinical and patient-facing side of pharmacy, especially speaking with patients, supporting them through their treatment journey, and being part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
I would love the opportunity to continue developing my clinical skills within the NHS while making a positive difference to patients by helping them feel supported, reassured, and cared for throughout their treatment.
