Laura Tomaino

I am currently working as Head of Education Recruitment at Maze8, I leverage my 20+ years of experience in education and welfare to work to connect people with careers and organisations with top-quality candidates across the UK. I have a background in quality assurance, training delivery, and advice and guidance in a range of settings, especially with vulnerable adults and NEETs.

I am passionate about supporting individuals such as those with mental health or disadvantaged individuals or roles within youth work, welfare to work and careers guidance. I am now seeking a new challenge in a more directly supportive role to use my compassionate, empathic and motivating nature along with my communication and time management skills to build relationships with those who need it.

I have had a varied and rich career history ranging from voluntary youth work to Careers Adviser roles, I have been a Tutor in many areas such as Functional Skills, Food Safety, Customer Service, Health & Safety and assessed up to Level 3 in many occupational areas. I have also worked in schools, colleges and support settings, assisting those ‘hard to help’ and vulnerable teens and adults, including inmates, helping map out their progression route, assisting them in managing their emotional challenges and helping them set and achieve goals. I worked in many roles within welfare to work, providing IAG to those wishing to move into the labour market and preparing them for whatever path they choose.
